TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Accommodation Terms & Conditions

Terms and Conditions incorporate the basis upon which accommodation reservations are accepted by Met Apartments. All registered guests must be a minimum of 18 years of age. All bookings made directly or via participating websites or travel agents with Met Apartments are made subject to these terms and conditions. The person making the booking will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions on behalf of the guest who will be staying. It is the booker’s responsibility to ensure these terms and conditions are passed onto the person or persons staying.

CHECK-IN

Check-in is from 2pm.

Guests arriving earlier may be granted access prior to 2pm, subject to availability and at Met Apartment’s discretion.

CHECK-OUT

Check-out is by 10am.

Any late check out requests are subject to availability, arranged at Met Apartment’s discretion and are not guaranteed. Charges may apply.

PAYMENT

A 25% deposit will be charged at time of booking.

Free cancellation up to 30 days prior to date of stay.

Cancellations less than 30 days prior to date of stay - deposit will be retained.

Final payment charged 4 days prior to date of stay.

Cancellations less than 4 days prior to date of stay - full payment retained.

RATES

All rates and room availability is subject to change on a daily basis. All rates sold are in Australian dollars and include Government goods and services tax (GST). Met Apartments reserves the right to amend rates that have been displayed or calculated at an incorrect value due to human or automatic distribution errors. Special rates for bookings sold for a minimum night’s stay will be void should the booking be changed to a lesser number of nights. The available rate will then revert to the advertised nightly rate at that time.

Pre-authorisation of credit cards is utilised, to ensure adequate funds are available.

RESERVATION PROCESS

When making a reservation Met Apartments reserves the right to acquire the following personal information relating to the future guest and the booker.

  • Full name

  • Contact number

  • Email address

  • A valid credit card number to guarantee the reservation (including expiry, CCV and card holder name)

  • Company organisation or government department details

Confirmations will be provided wherever possible for all bookings outlining our Terms & Conditions. Rates are subject to change if any details relating to your booking are amended, for example your dates of stay, your room type or the number of persons staying under your booking. Bookings which are quoted based on a minimum number of nights will be subject to a rate change should the number of nights decrease.

THIRD PARTY BOOKING AGENTS
It is the responsibility of the booker to ensure the apartment’s Terms and Conditions are communicated to the client. If you have booked via a third party website, company or travel agent, it is strongly recommended that you familiarise yourself with the apartment’s Terms and Conditions prior to your stay. Any cancellations or amendments to bookings made via a third party website, company or travel agent must be made directly with the affiliate. The third party will then advise Met Apartments. We will not cancel or amend bookings without written notification from the third party booking agent. 

CAR PARKING 
One parking space is allocated per apartment. Guests agree to enter the car park at their own risk. Met Apartments does not accept any responsibility for damages or loss to property, or property belonging to a third party, within the carpark. 

WIFI
Met Apartments provides complimentary, unlimited WIFI for guests. Met Apartments does not accept any responsibility nor provides any form of compensation for service interruptions or faults beyond our control.    

EXTRA PERSON POLICY
Charges may be applicable for additional guests. Met Apartments reserves the right to automatically charge a fee if extra people are deemed to be staying without prior consent. Met Apartments has strict maximum occupancy limits on their apartments.   

SMOKING POLICY
Met Apartments is a non-smoking venue – smoking is not permitted in any inside or outside areas (including balconies and the carpark). Smoking in rooms or on balconies where smoke drifts into rooms may attract additional cleaning fees. 

DAMAGES, BREAKAGES & ADDITIONAL CHARGES
The registered guest is responsible and will be held accountable for any breakages or damage incurred within their room, including those by third parties.

The use of personal electrical appliances for cooking is prohibited in guest’s rooms or on balconies (this includes barbeques - complimentary barbeques are available for guest use on the foreshore, 50m from the apartments).

The scaling of fish in the apartments is not permitted. Please have your fishmonger prepare seafood, or scale fish at designated bays at jetties and boat-ramps.

The apartments should be left as they were found, with all dishes and cutlery washed and placed away.

Met Apartments reserves the right to on charge guests for additional cleaning should one of the following, but not limited to, occur:- smoking in the room or with balcony doors open, resulting in smoke residue on furnishings – cleaning and/or replacement cost of soiled beds and/or linen – vomit – excessive rubbish – spills or stains to carpet- cleaning costs associated with the scaling of fish in the apartments -flooding of rooms from negligent activity – damage caused by decorations or attachments– damage or removal of Met Apartment property (including Bathroom Amenities) – inappropriate use of Met Apartments property, resulting in damage. The use of glitter or confetti is not permitted. Met Apartments reserves the right to charge and process any additional charges incurred to the credit card provided at the time of booking.  

NO PARTY POLICY

For the comfort of all guests Met Apartments have a strict no party policy. Guests will be asked to leave if found to be hosting a party.

Door codes are not to be provided to any third party. Guests will be asked to leave if found providing door codes to non-guests.

There are to be no business transactions occur in the Apartments. Guests will be asked to leave if found to be conducting business from the premises.


HOUSEKEEPING SERVICING

Met Apartments are not serviced daily, however housekeeping are able to accommodate reasonable requests for additional towels and amenities. For longer stays housekeeping services may be arranged, upon request.

CHILD & INFANT POLICY
Children and/or infants sharing a room with their parent or guardian may do so free of charge when: using existing bedding and when not exceeding the maximum occupancy for the given apartment type. Children and infants may not stay in any room without an accompanying parent or guardian. Additional charges will apply if extra beds or linen (including rollaway beds) are required. These are charged at the extra person rate or linen charge unless otherwise stipulated. Cots and cot linen are available free of charge. For safety reasons Met Apartments does not permit unaccompanied minors (under the age of 18) to stay in a room without an adult. Met Apartments does not accept any responsibility for injury caused by an unsupervised minor in the room.

SECURITY & LOSS PREVENTION
Met Apartments takes no responsibility for any personal possessions that are lost, stolen or misplaced whilst on the premises. 

LOST PROPERTY 
Lost property found on the premises is logged and kept in a secure location for a period of three months. Thereafter items are either disposed of or donated to charity. Met Apartments accepts no responsibility for contacting individuals in relation to lost property. Perishable items retrieved from rooms after check out are only held until close of business that day. Claimed items can be collected from the apartments with valid identification or alternatively we can arrange postage on behalf of the guest at their expense. We use the service offered by Australia Post entitled Cash on Delivery (COD) .We accept no responsibility for items sent via post once the item has been delivered to the local post office. A processing fee of $10 may be applicable to each item that is returned via post in addition to any postage fees. 

PET POLICY
Met Apartments does not permit pets/animals on premises at any time, with the exception of registered guide dogs or assistance dogs. Guests must advise ahead of time if you will be travelling with a guide/assistance dog. Should pets/animals be found in rooms or on the premises, including left in cars unattended, guests will be asked to leave, and additional cleaning fees may apply.

DISCLOSURE 
We do our best to ensure reservation arrangements are satisfactory, however, the Met Apartments does not accept any liability for loss financial or otherwise, travel delays, injury, damage, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by any events which are beyond our control. These include, but not limited to, flight delays or cancellations, civil disturbance, defects in vehicles, strikes, theft, acts of terrorism, natural disaster, war, fire, floods, acts of God, acts of Government or of any other authorities, changes to Government regulations, accident to or failure of machinery or equipment, maintenance requirements or industrial action.

We strongly recommend that guests take out Travel Insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.
